João Fernando is a Brazilian journalist, producer and marketer from Rio de Janeiro, holding a degree in media studies and an MBA in digital marketing. He began studying languages early, one of his passions, becoming fluent in English, Spanish and French. As a communications professional, João has worked as a reporter for some of Brazil’s most influential newspapers, including O Globo and O Estado de S. Paulo. He has also produced award-winning films, documentaries, and TV shows broadcast across Latin America on channels such as MTV, CNN, and Discovery. During this time, he led writing and grammar workshops for the production team and managed the training program for interns. In 2023, João relocated to Houston, where he enjoys exploring the culinary scene, discovering unique aspects of Texan life, and attempting to master line dancing.
