This program is designed to help individuals improve their communication building critical thinking skills. This program is geared toward advanced level English speakers.

We welcome native speakers to join and elevate their conversational skills to effective communication.

OUR METHOD

Taught in small groups, students will develop critical thinking skills for communication in the societal analysis. Students will review grammatical structures needed for public speaking, presentations, and comparative analysis.

Proper public speaking practices will be developed with the application and use of TED Talks (visual and auditory stimulation). The program focuses primarily on teacher-student and peer interaction. Tasks and activities in the classroom include communicative activities (role play, question and answer, debate format, the practice of natural speech, etc.,) instructor-guided activities (reading, comprehension questions, pronunciation practice, etc.,) and exercises to learn and internalize specific vocabulary and grammatical structures.

COURSE DURATION

The Program is comprised of one level of instruction with a completion time of 32 hours, taught in 16 sessions of two hours each, over a period of 8 weeks.

MATERIALS

One book covering the level is 21 Century Communication that uses powerful ideas from TED Talks to teach learners to think critically and communicate effectively.

The program is complemented with multimedia technology to keep the course exciting and engaging.
