Dr. Elisa is a filmmaker, language enthusiast, and educator originally from Curitiba, Brazil. She began her teaching journey helping students master English and Portuguese, and quickly became known for her creative, culturally rich approach to language learning, even winning an award for Best Portuguese Teacher along the way.

With a BA in Fine Arts Education, an MFA in Mass Communication, and an EdD in Higher Education Leadership, she blends creativity, culture, and communication in her teaching. Her pedagogical methods are enriched by her background in film, media, communication, and international relations, allowing her to integrate creative, culturally relevant content into the language classroom.

Her teaching philosophy emphasizes linguistic empowerment, cultural understanding, and the practical application of language skills in diverse contexts. Fluent in English and Portuguese, with a dash of Spanish, Italian, and now German (her latest language adventure), Elisa loves the joy of learning languages as much as teaching them.
